Sesame-crusted Grilled Tuna
Introduction
It's bluefin tuna season here in Maine and we're thrilled to be able to ship tuna right to your door, sourced directly from our lobstermen here in Maine. The recipe possibilities are endless, and we love this simple grilled recipe from our bar manager at our flagship location in Portland, Maine, Kai Parrott-Wolfe!
Ingredients
- 1 lb bluefin tuna steak
- 1 Tbsp lemon pepper,
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder,
- 1 Tbsp onion powder
- 1 Tbsp each black and white sesame seeds, toasted
- Scallions, sliced for garnish
Directions
- Combine lemon pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, and rub generously over your tuna steak.
- Heat your grill to high heat.
- Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the tuna, and place on a grill using high heat. Grill for two-three minutes per side.
- Slice diagonally and garnish with chopped green scallions.
