As part of our collaborative series with the Island Institute, we're celebrating some of our favorite things in Maine for more (last minute) gift giving. These products and makers are just a sliver of some of the incredible work that local artists and makers create for us to enjoy.
Archipelago
For the last 20 years, Archipelago has been the retail component of the Island Institute, supporting over 1,500 local Maine artists and playing a pivotal role in Rockland's emergence as a dynamic center of arts and culture. The selection of beautiful and locally made art is ever changing, and their items make for unique holiday gifts as well. Order here!
Oyster River Wine
A favorite winery of many Luke's Lobster teammates, Oyster River is located in Warren, ME, and has been making tasty wines and ciders in a low-intervention style since 2007. The farm consists of small vineyards and orchards, with the fruit used for their traditional method sparkling wine and ciders. They'll ship, so order some for the funky wine lover in your life (or yourself!).
Loving Anvil
If you're looking for beautiful and thoughtfully made jewelry, Loving Anvil creates pieces using reclaimed metals and stones which are "lovingly and obsessively dug" from around the globe, all while keeping a global ecosystem in mind. Based out of southern coastal Maine, their jewelry is simply magical and a must-look if that's your thing! Learn more here.
